Hip Opening: the Essential Missing Component

The hips can be one of the more resistant areas of the body to work with and for many of us we spend much of our yoga practice attempting to “open the hips.” We have an idea of what we think our hips should be like and we continue to stretch this area hoping that one day it will pay off. But there is one critical internal system often overlooked that is essential for releasing this area that has little to do with the poses or our alignment. We’ll look at how to tap into this to work more deeply through the layers that can restrict us. Hip opening can potentially affect the back, neck, legs and even shoulders as its place in the center of our body intimately affects everything else. This will be an insightful & experiential class with a brief lecture at the start to help you bring that knowledge into your practice to experience the benefits immediately. This is a gentle flow class open to all levels with some vinyasa experience.
